Optimum lighting for 400 sq ft home office/creative space

I have low vision and need the very best lighting I can install in this attic over the garage that is being finished as my office/studio. We'll. install 2 skylights. We'll also have sloped walls with a 9' high flat ceiling, 3' wide. I was thinking of turning the entire flat ceiling into one big light source -- maybe fluorescent? I certainly don't want that annoying office lighting, but I do need a few levels of really good, stro g lighting. Any ideas?
