Stair railing and floors - Best Match?

Hi there! I'm toying with the idea of painting our stair railings and ballusters in Benjamin Moore's Iron Mountain and I'm wondering if you have any suggestions on the tone of hardwood floor (ignore the yucky beige carpet) that would best compliment this darker staircase. I'm also open to painting it white but I do love the dark grey.
Thanks for your help!

It really depends what kind of look you're going for. If you like a modern look, the grey railing with engineered dark wood floors or distressed white washed flooring would look really cool. If you are looking for something more timeless and classic go for white on the railing and then any colour of wood works. It just depends if you want to brighten the space or cool it down, the type of wood you want that goes along with your lifestyle in terms of durability, and if you're going to carry it throughout the upper floor.
