Shouldn't paint grip metal be painted?

Have you seen a bare paint grip finish after 5-10 years? If so, what does it look like? Would a Kynar gray Galvalume hold up better? We have the paint grip option available, but I'm a little concerned.

i do not know where you live. but in dallas, you can drive around and see old houses with paint grip metal unpainted after 20 years, looks fantastic. personally i don't like galvalume because it does not patina like paint grip does, it stays bright and new looking forever...not the look that i like. i install it on clients houses without reserve.

Thanks. We are building a modern in Dallas. Our builder showed us some paint grip examples in Bluffview. Patina is one term to describe it, which I associate with copper and some other metals. Blotchy, dull, uneven wear is another description.
