Which is better vinyl or laminate?

What's the floor made of? What room will it be in? What is on the floor below? How is your heating arranged? Do you have kids, pets, neighbours? How long do you want it to last? What's your budget? How high up are your doors? ..
And that's not even all the questions you can ask yourself.

Concrete. Living, bedroom & stairs. No kids just three small dogs. I would want it to last at the very least 10 yrs. Doors have about half inch clearance.

Laminate is torture to most dogs. They slip constantly.
If normal vinyl is too soft, try pvc flooring, with the print throughout.
Or tiles, are tiles an option?
