Need help for a patio door window treatmen
April 24, 2013 in Design Dilemma
I will be purchasing a brown leather sofa with nail heads. It looks very Spanish which is the theme I want for my living room. I'm not certain about what kind of a treatment I should get for my patio door. Curtains? Vertical blinds? My brown leather couch has a touch of red, so it looks copperish which is why I fell in love with it. It's a desert colors often used in Mediterranean decor. I went through the Spanish Style Sofa designs in houzz and noticed most Spanish style houses are humongous and love to show off their huge windows, so their treatments tend to be very minimalist. The times I did see a dramatic flair it was for rooms the size of a castle. I have a modest size living room and while I love the deep heavy burgundy colors it would only make my room look like a funeral home. I did see a picture in houzz of dark brown leather couch and the drapes were simple light green. So I was thinking of either that or a light green vertical shades. I also saw these blinds OVER the sliding glass doors. They were a darker color. Amber, if I recall, which I love as well. That works well for Mexican decor and Arts and Crafts as well. Any ideas or have I already figured it out myself?
