What color tile to pick for Kitchen backsplash
April 25, 2013 in Design Dilemma
Remodeling our kitchen, with painted white cabinets along the wall topped with a honed white quartzite(white cream with a few grey and brown veins), dark charcoal painted island topped with butcher block and a bar top with same quartzite. We have all stainless appliances and dark cherry hardwood floors. Above the stove we are installing a stainless stove pipe range hood that will go up to the 9 foot ceiling. We want to cover this entire area with tile as well as the backsplash along the counters and above the sink. All I see in pictures are light colored tiles with white cabinets. I am thinking about a glossy charcoal colored pinstripe, 8 by 13 inches, each tile. Would this be too bold?
