What to put in an outdoor kitchen in Calgary?
April 30, 2013 in Design Dilemma
The kitchen is about 18 feet long and is under a 6' roof. Backs onto the Elbow River. Should I put a sink and refrigerator in an outdoor kitchen in Calgary?

I know nothing about outdoor kitchens, but if I had one I'd "put someone in it to cook!" Just a little attempt at humor.

I would check with the distributors to make sure the the fridge will stand up to the weather. You will probably need to add heat tape (used in mobile homes) to the water/drain lines or be able to drain the water lines and prior to winter. They also have special antifreeze (used for hot tubs, etc.) to keep them from freezing. Check with local suppliers for information! If you do alot of outdoor entertaining it could be a good investment for you.
