Bathroom Reno
May 1, 2013 in Design Dilemma
Hi just wondering if any can help. We are renovating our bathroom and had some floor tiles left over from previous renovations which we are using in the ensuite to save some money. The colour is a light brown (light beige). We are using white tiles on the wet area walls, with black tiles on the shower floor. I'd really love to paint the walls a really light gray and white but could I use it with the beige tiles? I can not find any pictures on houzz with this colour scheme.
Will it work? Thanks ...

If you can't find pictures of what you are planning that is usually a bad sign. Beige, black, and white is an unusual combination. Once you have used the beige tile with the black and white, I think you need to embrace the beige. If you paint to the black and white scheme, such as painting a grey, I think it will make the beige look out of place. I would paint a color that's in the beige tile. Beige, tan, cream?

Here are the colours that we have picked. The tall white ones are for the shower walls, the brown square ones are the floor tiles and the black ones are the shower floor.
The floor tiles are the same as the ones that are on the floor in the photo. Thanks for your help...

I take it all back. David (Dytecture) was right to ask to see the tiles. I think you can go any way you want with these, so grey is OK..

I have found this photo on houzz, similar colours to the ones I'm using on the floor. Is the wall colour grey or green? Love the whole colour scheme. Exactly what I was looking for. Any comments? Would I use a shade lighter in the ensuite as it is definitely not this big !!!!!
