I don't see any support brackets for the countertop overhang. Is that safe to do with soapstone?

I'm just wondering if there is some integrated solution that I'm not seeing in the pic. Thank you.

You can leave it unsupported for up to 12".

We have an 18" overhang on an 8' run with 18" deep posts at each end. Can we use soapstone or would we also need a support in the middle?
