position of bath taps

I am installing a freestanding rectangular bath, close to the corner of the bathroom. I notice most baths have the taps etc centrally positioned, but would it look very strange to have them closer to the head (where the person sits) of the bath?

positioning the taps closer to the corner would be fine and allows easier access.
