The solar panels are badly positioned for this house. Bad bad design and location of solar panels. Even if that roof had nothing, the solar panels are a waist if they will have a time they will have a shadow over them. Bad planning.

Thank you for your concern, please note that this image was taken very first thing in the morning (so the sun is coming directly from the east). The long axis of the house, therefore the window glazing and the solar panels, are aligned perpendicular to true south. Please note that the magnetic declination constant was taken into account when siting the home for maximum solar insolation. After living in the home for 3 years, the clients real world heating cost averaged between $60-$80 per month (this is a home is in northwest Montana, only an hour from the Canadian Border and can get very cold during the very long winter).
