I am redoing a house at the beach. The new floors are a white washed oak and i don't know how to do the railing. All white or white spindles and stained railing and ballister.
Help?!

white railings would be a more traditional approach.

That's what I was thinking. Contractor wants to do the baluster and hand rail in a stain that matches the floor. Don't think that's a great idea. I'm thinking of keeping all white. Any paint color suggestion? I like Ben Moore.

A darker stain or natural wood handrail will be easier to keep than one painted white.

At the beach, white wins every time. Stains may be easier to maintain outdoors. A light gray would suggest aged driftwood if that works with other colors.

This is the floor. What stain would be good for the hand rail.

The paint store will have a folder showing all of the options. Take it home to decide. Your flooring is beautiful!!

I like the idea of the handrail matching the floor, with the rest of it being white.
