Need help with living room high ceilings!
May 9, 2013 in Design Dilemma
I am decorating my formal living room. My husband does not want to do a lot of painting. I am re-upholstering the furniture. The room is kind of oddly shaped. Need suggestions!

Texture! Its amazing what a little texture can do- wainscoting or create a line in the middle. Paint half the wall- 9 ft or so by creating a line with painters tape. On that line u can put a thin molding or rail.

Regardless what u do- window treatments will go a long way. Try doing two long sheer curtains.

Good luck!

I used a fire mantle as a huge shelf and put big pots and some greenery on it, it divided the wall up.

Can you attach some more pictures of the room? What do you mean by "oddly shaped?"
