What color walls?
May 10, 2013 in Design Dilemma
trying to decide what color to paint living room/dining room/staircase walls. rooms are fairly small, open to each other, floors are oak hardwood, couch is navy, chairs are brown/navy paisley, rug is navy/cream oriental, accent pieces are coral, woodwork is painted white. house is 1940s small colonial. i was thinking of a tan/golden/khaki color for the walls. any suggestions?

I suggest taking the cream color from the rug and going one shade darker.

I would suggest a taupe or tan that works with your rug. Keep it light though.

Small rooms, lots of navy, some brown and cream with coral...I'd stay with a blue...BM jet stream 814. It is the perfect French blue to go with your colors.
