Install hardwood on all of lower level or recarpet entire house?
May 10, 2013 in Design Dilemma
WOuld you spend your budget on installing hardwood on your entire lower level ie family room kitchen etc.. or install carpet both upstairs and down? we cant afford to do both. if we do hardwood downstairs the gross carpet upstairs will need to wait to be replaced. i'm thinking long term it would be best to do the hardwood and wait on carpeting upstairs.

I agree - invest in the hardwood and wait on the carpet upstairs - of course that is easy for me to say, I don't know the status of the upstairs carpet.
