May 11, 2013 in Photo Questions
I just purchased a home, it recently had all new light oak flooring,
which gives the home a dated look.

If it is solid oak you do have the option of sanding it down to take the finish off and to choose a darker stain and refinish your flooring. If you have an engineered hardwood flooring the only option is to replace the flooring for a darker cherry look due to not having enough solid wood to sand down and refinish. I attached a picture of what oak would look like refinished to a darker burgundy color you may like.
