Taking a 1941 colonial (976 sq ft), adding 1000 sq ft.first floor addition. All oak floors (except for 2 baths). will be replacing all windows w/wood interior finish, painting all walls, replacing trim everywhere. I think for my neutral color I'll use a khaki beige (lighter and darker shades). colonial white for trim, and for kitchen cabinets. I like the color of blue sea glass, so maybe I'll use that throughout as an accent. We acquired an antique Jacobean (think dark and ornate wood) dining room table, buffet, and china cabinet. Family room furniture (for now) will be existing maroon leather couch and chair with dark wood grandmother clock and dark wood antique accent table, and lovely oriental rug w/tan background (picture attached), some dark blue, light blue, and rose. Any suggestions for other colors I might consider for the various rooms? Three bedrooms and bath are the only rooms upstairs.
