Rug Color?

I have a pink & green house - going cottage style. I've got touches of cream/ivory and white throughout as a neutral. My adjoining hallway is grey. The current rug in the Living room is grey and my table is white/gray. I was going to use gray as a neutral in the house also, but it feels like the rug doesn't fit into this room. What color should I use? My wall color is spring green, and my accent color is pink. I'm trying to stay with warmer tones.

Here's one of the main rugs I'm considering. Fits in with the cottage style - braided with the same tones

If you could find something similar this would look great.

I think that the braided rug you found would look great.

Declutter the room for better viewing. My eyes keep going to the curtains, I think those should be replaced with ones with a little more fabric.

The rug needs to be larger in order to be seen. I'd suggest selecting one that extends beyond the sofa (loveseat?) by 1' or so.

Dear tjs4,

The braided one looks perfect! It looks soft, it looks inviting, and it will work beautifully with your existing pieces without overwhelming the space. If you need an alternative, you might think about the following:

Great color, pattern and aesthetic for your home (this one might be a small 2x3):
Marche Pink Cotton Flannel Hook Rug

Another soft one:
The Rug Market 5 Chic Romantique French Rose Bouquet Rug

And one more, but the border would get lost underneath the sofa:
Colette Rug

Best of luck with your decorating and please let us know if we can be of any assistance,

Here's the other one I'm thinking of...but I'm not sure how it'd look under the grey/white table

Your second selection might look dirty when placed so close to the white furniture. You need something cleaner looking, the first selection was much better.
