Do you mount the tub filler at the back of the tub to be hidden or keep it up front or to the side?

If you are talking about the tap or bath faucet - it can be anywhere you want. You just have to plan it before you close up the wall...

Please consider if the placement you choose interferes with getting in and out of the tub.

Placement should address ; easy reach access but away from where you sit on edge and swing your legs in, it should consider access panels and where you are going to sit in the tub.

The freestanding tub is in front of a bay window with access all around. I guess my question should have asked, Do you want to hide the faucet poles of the tub filler or expose them to the room?

Again this is a creative choice - some people do hide it behind others like to show off!
