Hi Jameite, nice job on the hand painted canvas. We don't call it wallpaper over here. Muralists and faux finishers cringe at the very sound of it. Wallpaper=NO Canvas=YES. :)

how was teh ironwork made to 'set' so well? there is no shadow..

Hi aimran, I'm not sure I understand your question, but the all of the ironwork and everything else on this ceiling was painted by hand. It's just an illusion or Trompe L'Oeil. www.TrompeLoeil.com

LOL! Well, i fell for it! Haha i thought the mosaic & ironwork was real at least! :p and was wondering how can anyone achieve those whorls in iron that too on an arched ceiling :p what with 3d printing becoming real and stuff.. You guys are surprising us everywhere. ;)

i think i should be more clear in my query, i mean would you not have to crane your neck alot to carry out this type of ceiling work? and therefore tire your neck muscles out?
i, as a kid, have dreamt of the night sky being painted on my bedroom ceiling...

HI aimran.....Yes, the first couple of weeks it's very hard on the neck and back. You start to get used to the pain by week three. The good thing is that I do about 4-5 ceilings a year so I have a break from that sort of pain. Well worth the effort though. When all is said and done, it's nice to create ceilings like this because you rarely see this type of work. Vegas is probably the last place I have seen something done like this to this degree. I wish I could bring potential clients in this home to show them what a difference it would make. It would be an easy sale :) I did a night sky for my daughter's bedroom. I used glow paint and it looks so real that you feel like you are laying in a field gazing up at the stars. Take care, Tom
