New exterior colour for our house

Hi, We have lived in our home for twenty years and it is due for repainting. My husband would like a change although I've been pretty happy with the current combination since we hit on it ten or so years back. Any colour wizards out there that can help me picture something different?

The steps to the front door are slate and grey river rock. The fencing and some trim are stained wood. We get a lot of rain here so grey might be a little blah but would look pretty with the shrubs. Looking at these pictures I realize how you stop "seeing" things in your yard. Must go coil that hose now!

Benjamin Moore "Temptation 1609" for siding.....keeping the black trim or trimming the details in white.

Ohh I like that colour...and the deep, dark, alluring...description of it on Benjamin Moore's website

Would you keep the stucco cream and maybe paint the front door the green they show on the paint card?

Great house. I think I would be tempted to go with a taupey-grey on the siding and keep the black and stained wood accents as is.

I am on your page, hez, I like the colors you have now.

Would rethink the garage door..,black? Often old is new again.

I think my husband wants the colour change to see a change rather than an improvement. Same thinking drove him nuts when I kept replacing my white truck with another white truck ;)

White trucks are the best.

I am serious…what if you painted the house two different colors, but keep the dark windows?

I'm not sure where you could divide the house. In the bake it might work where the higher vaulted bit meets the flatter bit ( architect's terms) but the front of the house is the original rectangular bungalow

I was thinking that if you followed each roof line there would then be a distinct division of color. Not sure…I like my idea, but maybe another houzzer will get it and give a better description,

P S your home is great!

Thanks. It is our first home and we thought we would be here for a year or two but we renovated once, added on once and now that the girls are all out of the nest I thought we might make a change....but I think that may only go as far as the colour and the kitchen. It has been a great family home

Charcoal, with very white trim. Will be amazing with your river rock and railings. Very dramatic.

Paint the siding one of the colors in the rocks grey or taupe then make the trim very light cream or silvery white.
