Do I curve the front of my island or just go for straight line. Granite going in Friday. I need to give them answer in morning!

Do you mean a curve on the stool side or sink side? I say curve on stool side for sure. Will give you more elbow room

Yes, a curve would be nice on the stool side, but even nicer if it curved outward, creating a large circular edge, is there is space for it and if the granite is big enough.

I'm not sure if your new granite is siting properly on the cabinets, it looks like you can see the plywood under the edge. I'd get the supplier to inspect the install. In regards to the backspalsh, since the granite has a busy pattern, it would be best to pick a tile that is larger in scale and isn't a busy mosaic. Otherwise you have 2 busy surfaces fighting against each other. But you are headed in the right direction by picking a stone finish that is plain and doesn't have a lot of colour variation. With a dark grout this mosaic backsplash could work. I agree with Carolyn, hardwood is the best option.

Agree that you need a less busy backsplash given the pattern of your granite. It's a pretty granite for the white cabinets. I would suggst a light colored backsplash with matching grout. Hardwood floors.
