Width of stripes?

We have 20 foot dining room and the decorator is suggesting 8 inch stripes. Do you have any suggestions for determining the width of the stripes?

I do not remember, exactly. Each space is different and it is a matter of what you like. I think these were 6", maybe 5". Your decorator should be the one to help you determine this. It is not based on room size, but rather the look you are trying to accomplish. Thanks for asking

Thanks! this is exactly the look I am doing in the dining room... love the colors... I agree that the width looks like about 5"... that is my next step is to tape the lines.. yikes!
