I'm having trouble finding a drawer deep enough (14") to modify for this purpose. Any thoughts?

My cabinet maker used a base cabinet with one drawer & one cupboard door and built the utinsel box on the bottom using the bottom pull-out and left the top pull out for additional storage and the drawer was left as us. Works for me! This is my favorite feature of my new kitchen!

my2013kitchen: Love the idea. I do have one question though. Any issues with the front door panel separating from the pull out section? the reason i ask is because the pull out (where the utensils sit) is really low but you're pulling at a really high angle so to me it seams that it would eventually start to wobble then come off, no?

The original pic in white has the pull out part up a bit higher and you can grab either the top or middle handle where it seems like it would be more stable.

What is the width on this drawer?

It looks like it's a 15" cabinet at least.
