gabgarden I would advise against planting running bamboo in the yard. You will be creating a nightmare for you neighbors.

cotero45 Running bamboo is very invasive and very difficult and laborious to remove....It's been a year and I'm still removing it from my backyard that has been overcome by it thanks to my neighbor not knowing how to contain it!! What a nightmare!

gabgarden use "remedy" That is how I got rid of mine. I cut it down and sprayed the new shoots.
