Kitchen cabinet hardware

I have a driftwood grey island and creme cabinets (Ben Moore Acadia White). Thoughts on using different hardware/finishes on the island and perimeter cabinets?

I think oil rubbed bronze or matte black would look good on both, I would not use two different finishes.

Agree one finish, but you can mix shape of the handles. Do a cup pull on the island and then match the metal finish for the main cabinets. Cabinet Hardware 1 Cabinet Hardware 2 Vintage 1900 Pull

Thank you all for your help! I probably should have mentioned that I also have polished chrome pendant lights and faucet but definitely don't like that finish on either cabinet finish.

Unless you have a country kitchen that mixes lots of different styles of materials I would only add one other finish such as oil rubbed bronze or black. You don't mention appliances but what finish are they ? If any stainless steel is present you have more than enough finishes in the room.

Black cabinet hardware could look wonderful, as could brushed nickel.

I have a 'sea glass' enamel Viking stove and the rest of the appliances are paneled in cabinetry. I'd just finished renovating my kitchen before Hurricane Sandy and am trying to save the fixtures and faucet (which seems crazy but they're brand new!) though I changed both the perimeter and island colors. I do love the way oil rubbed bronze looks on both finishes.

You should use something you like, but keep it consistent.
