June 19, 2013 in Design Dilemma
The sun really shines into our great room, but I'm having trouble figuring out what window treatments will help us and be accessible to open and close. any ideas?

Top-down/bottom-up shades are great because they allow for privacy and optimal light control. As far as being accessible, you have the option of cords, endless chain, and fully stingless. I would suggest the stingless option with an operation stick. This way you don't have strings hanging in your window, and down the side. Just pull the operation stick out to open/close the shades even the top ones.

Many Cordless shades have an optional pole to operate them. Motorized shades are easily opened and closed by remote. They can even have a sun sensor and timer. There are options for your shaped windows from Comfortex, but may not be able to be motorized or cordless.
