Help!! We just re-did our kitchen and I picked very dark (almost black) hardwood floor and I hate them!! I guess I didn't do the homework in realizing that every shoe mark, dog paw, anything would show. They never look clean unless we waxed them that day. I use a wet mop just to wipe down for five or six days after I vacuum each time. Then they look dull and we have to wax again. They can never continuously look clean. On the day we do wax, we clean floor with hardwood cleaner. How can I make the floors stay shiny and clean without having to re-sand? They look great against the beautiful kitchen in an off-white w/glaze cabinets. Just for one day...the day we waxed. By the way, we did the whole main floor this color!
