Your ceiling height looks pretty low for a hanging fixture so I am guessing the fixture will hug the ceiling. Before we suggest anything are you keeping the steer head? It's beautiful but will fight whatever fixture you put up.

I did not think the skull over the bed would get in the way physically or visually (I could replace it with a sunburst mirror but I do like the skull). I could have a flush mount or semi flush mount; it does not have to hang low. Thanks.

I vote to keep the steer head - love it. For a light fixture, consider a simple drum light, semi-flush. It would tie in with the other shades you have in the room. I think a burlap shade with a deep red band on the bottom or top edge, would look great here. If you can't find one already made, you can probably have one made for a reasonable price. Really like your room!
Oh, and make sure it has a defuser on the bottom to avoid looking directly into the light bulbs.

Also voting to keep the skull head over the headboard-- love it. Also think that the drum pendant or semi-flush mount with a textured shade will add warmth and not compete with anything in the room. Even considering a chandelier-style with encompassing drum shade will be beautiful and chic.
