Hello and thank you for your question! The countertop at the sink, range, and peninsula is 3cm Caesarstone "Pebble Shiny", with an edge profile "Stepped Ogee". The island is 3cm Brazilian Arabescato Honed with the same edge profile.

So the perimeter is quartz and the island quartzite is that correct? Are they both easy maintenance? They sure are beautiful!

Does the honed island etch or stain easily like Marble? I keep hearing different comments about quartzite. Some say it etches and stains and others say it doesn't? I love it but would be afraid to have something delicate in the kitchen.

Hi - our clients tell us that the island has not had any stains and does not etch - they have two very young kids and chose the material for that very reason.

What color did you paint the walls in the kitchen / adjoining room? Thanks!

Hi and thanks for your question. The color is a custom blend to match 2 other rooms in the house - it's by Benjamin Moore, from the 'Aura' line, in a 'satin' finish.
