Going out on a limb...but why leave it open above? Finish it to the ceiling, add some small recessed fixtures and let the two curving bits do their thing.

The pix is deceiving. The curve extends from two flat walls; one is the entrance to the kitchen and the other curve extends onto my great room wall. There is a curved counter top below.

Treat it as part of the wall. No need to do anything else. The curve itself is the feature. No need to point it out any more.

I.e. leave it alone.
