Help
I am trying to decide on a grey blue paint for my powder room. Blue is not in my comfort zone so this is a leap for me. I've been to three different paint stores but what was suggested didn't excite me. I must add that I will be doing a high gloss Morracan stencil on the walls. I have added a picture of the tile that is on the floor. The powder room is small and don't want something really dark. Any paint suggestions?

I looks like your floor has some warmer tones, as well. Would you be more comfortable pulling those out for a wall color as a compliment to the blue instead of a match?

Sure I would welcome any suggestions. The majority of my house colour is revere pewter. I want the powder room not to stick out colour wise but to fit in to the greyish palate.

What color are your stencils going to be, a tone on tone of the wall or a different color? When you say Moroccan stencil I assume you mean the shape of the first example, not the colorful Moroccan tile?

The stencils will be a high gloss tone on tone.

It's kind of hard to tell on a computer monitor whether a color will match. houzz=

A powder room is a chance to do something dramatic and your high gloss stencil will reflect light.

Have you considered a metallic grass cloth in a pewter color? Just an idea... http://www.phillipjeffries.com/products/7723--vinyl_maxs_metallic_raffia.html

Then you could do your stencil on that!

I would be afraid that the paint might run or look to blotch depending on the grain of the grass cloth .

You use special stencil paint from the craft store and a very dry brush until you get the depth of color you want--very time consuming.

I have a whole house to paint and would be afraid that it would not turn out.
