How about a grey to keep it toned down, or if you want bold how about a nice deep blue grey.

It would be easier if we can see the whole house so we can suggest a yellow that works well with the style of your house.

I have a gray house with a green under-tone and a yellow door. I love it. I think yellow is so welcoming and a change from black or red.

Does you house face west or even south? Then the yellow will look more intense than east or north and you'll want to step in down.

Here are some possibilities: Benjamin Moore Spring Dust Paint, Honeymoon AF-345 Paint, and Restrained Gold SW6129 Paint. I think I painted my door http://www.benjaminmoore.com/en-us/paint-color/stuartgold#ce_s=gold, which is more intense than these samples I found on Houzz.

My house is
with a creamy white trim, dark green shutters and, I think, Stuart Gold on the front door.
