Counter top colour advice

New kitchen, black base cabinets, white upper cabinets, what colour would you use on countertop? Grey? I was told I should pick out the counter top before I chose backsplash.

Grey creates a casual elegance and would work well with the colors mentioned. Another option if you want to warm it up would be a honey beige.

What is the style of the rest of the home? How about the cabinet door style?

The cabinet doors are a shaker style. The rest of the house has not been designed yet as we are renovating a 1500 sq. ft open space.

Butcher block, green quartz, zinc or soapstone would also look well.

Maybe a lighter grey, or as waldron designs mentioned a honey beige! We a few colors in our GEOS recycled glass countertop line that you might consider!

I can't seem to get my mind around the honey beige but the grey recycled glass one is great and the soapstone was also interesting.

Hi ashbrachr3, these off-whites from Corian are nice: White Jasmine, Rice Paper, Arctic Ice (translucent), Bisque.
