open shelving in the kitchen
June 28, 2013 in Design Dilemma
I'm considering some open shelving in my kitchen. Most pictures that I've seen have mostly all white dishes on the shelves. Does it always look chaotic if you put colored ones (same color family) instead?

Not so, colored dishes can look great if the shelves and wall behind are painted white.

@River Valley Cabinet Works Actually, I am very neat with my dishes (not everywhere else!) and they are pretty. This is for a summer cottage so the area will be small and stuff will be used regularly. In Florida I have plenty of cabinets and I love them!!!

Definitely not, open shelving in a kitchen provides a great opportunity to add some colors in the room.
