Central Vac
June 29, 2013 in Design Dilemma
We are considering central vacuum installation in our new home. Just want some opinions on brands and affordability. Anyone have any issues with their central vac systems? Thanks!

I love central vacuum systems. I have allergies and these actually remove the dust/dirt out of your house! Just remember to check them every few months to empty. The important steps are making sure you have enough electrical outlets - need one beside or very close to the vacuum hose plugs. And if you or your cleaning staff stretch them too far you will end up nicking your baseboard so you may want to budget for a hose sock. I also prefer having the noisy unit located in the garage. And, listen to the professionals - make sure you buy one with enough suction power for your size and type of home.
