Rock flooring we are tired of, want something new, easy care and modern, that can be installed over existing rock?

Is this terrazzo? You lucky people! An area rug won't do? Terrazzo is a great modern floor.

Terrazzo is a very clean modern flooring material. It can be ground down and re-finished for a new look. In the attached photo, we refinished existing terrazzo at the left edge of the photo, and added new terrazzo in a contrasting color in the area close to the kitchen island counter. By the way, terrazzo is just about indestructible!

I should take a close up picture, this is a black and white pebble floor, I would be thrilled with the terrazzo. I am hoping to not have to take out the pebble flooring, but instead "lay" something over the top?

Got it. The surface is so irregular on those floors, I would imagine you would have to float it first. With all the resin, I don't know whether the concrete would adhere? I think it's a question for a tile contractor.
