Have you or others had issues with natural stone flooring staining in kitchens? Does it require frequent "sealing"?

Thanks you for your question. I was able to check with our VP of Best Practices, and his response was, “As natural stone is porous, it is inevitable that it will eventually show wear and dirt no matter how often it’s sealed.” He went on to say that light colored stone does require more cleaning, and occasional refinishing by a professional. However, sealers can slow the process, and are particularly helpful for liquid spills. Most people appreciate the ‘patina’ that develops on a stone floor after use, especially if the room has a classic, antique look. Good luck with your project. If you're in the Washington DC area, please let us know if there's anything we can do to help.
