R 12x24 tiles considered traditional enough to use in a bathroom renovation of a 110 year old traditionally styled home?

These are 12" x 24" tiles in the shower. But I think since they are natural stone (not a porcelain tile) they work in a more traditional style/space. And they are laid in a more traditional brick pattern.
