we are getting a brand new bathroom and can't decide on what to use as flooring. originally we were thinking tile but it's so cold then maybe just do vinyl but i know it'll lift in the corners eventually. cork? hardwood? just suck it up and have tile? there will be a walk in shower so we need it to be very waterproof. thanks!

there is heating which goes under tile to warm it up. Not that expensive & this is the time to be considering it. Any reputable tiler or tiling store will be able to discuss it with you

Tile is still the best thing for a walk-in shower to be waterproof. Neither the cork or hardwood will be.

Think about installing a radiant floor under the tile like Sharon recommended. I like the NuHeat Radiant floor system the best.
