Adding 65" TV...where does it go

The family room adjoins the kitchen. There is one huge wall and a short one on the opposite side. Piano needs to stay on this room. Ideas about configuration? The 65" flat screen arrives next week and will be wall mounted.

I think the wall where the tv is now would be fine. It would allow people in the kitchen area to also see it, so for entertaining purposes when you have enough people in both areas to watch (ie Super Bowl parties or something similar) it will be visible to all.

Once it is mounted on the wall, you could put a small buffet or sideboard under it for some accent furniture.

I agree. The wall you have your current tv is best. Get a pretty buffet to use as a tv stand or a white wall unit, so you can hide your cable boxes.

Great idea about repurposing a buffet or sideboard. Have you ever seen a picture of something like that?

Ideally, the piano needs to be on an interior wall for its health.Opposite the TV is the best location for it with the art hanging 5" above it. The present TV location is great but, the sectional is really messing with the layout. I think you'd do better with a single 3-seater sofa. If you do move the piano, you'll have to pull the sofa out and it is too big. Is there a wall opposite the FP where the piano or TV would work?

I would place the piano where the TV is currently located and place the TV above the piano. It's lower than the fireplace. It's worth a try, I think.
