    jcmanasco: Thanks so much for the inquiry. The valance pattern on this is called "Claudine". It is a Pate Meadows pattern. Just remember to use a heavy fabric, a sturdy lining and interline it otherwise it can tend to look like a sloppy dishrag. Also be prepared to spend a lot of time dressing it unless you like a sloppy look (which I do not).

    I made this pattern and used a nice silk fabric but used a wire in the bottom to "form" it to shape.

    Wire? What kind of wire? I would think it would interfere with flow and drapability.

    I've used a 16 gauge wire for soft fabrics, but you might want something lighter, but it needs to hold the shape, so experiment with your fabric.

    I've made this pattern as well and it works well in a bay window.
