Marble or porcelain kitchen floor

I am replacing my kitchen floor and found a marble tile I love. I have a dog and after reading some info on marble I'm not sure it will hold up. Interested in feed back I was looking at porcelain but this actually was less than the porcelain. I know I have to seal, but how often? how effective is the sealer? many thanks...........

Hi kayleigh, porcelain tiles would look nice. And a light natural maple hardwood would also add light to the room (plus, with very little sun light, no worries on the wood). Your preference. :)
