Exterior Paint Color Help Needed For Split With Painted Brick

We will be having our house painted next month and we are leaning toward painting it white with some sort of gray or taupe color for the shutters (light or dark?) and maybe a punch of color for the door (green?). We played around with the SW Color Visualizer tool and liked Highly Reflective White with Special Gray shutters and Artichoke or Garden Spot for the door. We also liked Peppercorn for the shutters, but we’re not sure if that’s too dark. Paint colors are not our area of expertise and we would really appreciate any feedback! Would green look too garish on our style of house? We are also planning on replacing the 2 current ceiling lights along the front walkway with hanging lanterns (black?). Any other suggestions for how to improve the curb appeal? Thanks in advance for your help/time!

Whatever you do, be sure you love it enough to see it doubled in the water. Your selection sounds good and go for the peppercorn but perhaps on the door. I think I'd use one of the lighter greens on the shutters. Comment and use the AI button to post your 'afters' here on this same thread.

Having also lived on a lake, the houses I liked best, blended into the background: shades of grey, green, brown, and even some blues. They gave a sense of privacy, a sense of not living in a suburb or city.
Clearly you like what you have and want approval. Go for what you like, including the peppercorn - as decoentusiaste suggested - on your door.

Since your roof is earth toned, and you love the bright white . . . here are my thoughts on shutters and doors. Neither special gray nor peppercorn (which will look like a blue gray) are going to work well with the roof. A green gray will have enough warmth to make that work nicely but you do want contrast . . and in this setting, there are many options that could be charming. I suggest this colorway for shutters and entry door with white . . . rosemary for the shutters . . a bit deeper and more contrast, and one shade lighter, dried thyme for the entry doors http://www.sherwin-williams.com/homeowners/color/find-and-explore-colors/paint-colors-by-family/SW6186-dried-thyme/

Here's a trick of my neighbor for MI - fill the flower boxes with silk ivy year round then add flowers (here, red to pick up in the red in the brown roof) seasonally. . it always looks right.
