A small flower with a fake flower would work

Do you use it?

Yes we do use it, so I need some kind of screen, fabric panel, or cabinet that will allow access.

Lean a tray, a cute bulletin board or a pretty rectangular basket in front of it.

Why not prop a picture against it? I've seen this done on fireplace mantles, it just might work in this situation.

I was thinking of some kind of shoji type screen (running horizontal) that would allow light through to serve as a night light. You could attach it to the back of the upper cabinet lip with hinges which would allow you to raise it to use the intercom. ;)
