Wood flooring dilemna
July 13, 2013 in Design Dilemma
We are installing wood floor into your kitchen and dining room. We have the following choices for the width of the wood: 5", 3 1/4", 2 1/2". What is recommended? The 5" would be about $1000.00 cheaper to install.

I think this is a matter of persona preference, without a definitive answer. Which do you prefer the look of?

Kinda like the 3 1/4 best, but others are OK and cheaper. I just wondered if anyone knew advantages to either one.

Wider plank usually looks a bit more casual, farmhouse style. But it also has a slightly higher danger of warping (though I think that is usually from faulty installation practices). Hopefully, one of the professional flooring people will weigh in here with more definitive information. Eutree Wide Plank Flooring, are you around today?
