Hi, what are the pros and cons to having one large window on a wall vs a few small ones with wall in between? I love big windows but everyone seems to be pitting in smaller ones.. Why?

I'm going to go out on a limb and suggest that it is more energy efficient to have the same area of glass in a single window rather than in several smaller ones. My thinking is that most of the air leaks occur on the frames. Other than energy considerations, it would seem an aesthetic decision which would depend entirely on your room, your exterior, and the view.
