Help! I have found my antique bureau has wood-borer beetle - any advic

The little holes are big enough for the whole tip of a ball point pen to fit into and the dust looks very fine but feels a teeny bit grainy......

I would call a pest control company or a furniture refinisher to find out what to do. It needs treatment.

You might research the "Powder Post Beetle" to see if that fits your description. If memory serves me correct I think you will find that it's larvae deposited in the wood (tree) that for some reason hatches. No real problem to the structure of the wood, just inconvenient and unsightly. Fumigation apparently does not help.
