Need a Universal Design bathroom for husband with MS in wheelchair

I have a colonial with a small bathroom and two closets...need to make a larger bathroom so he can independently function...right now I have to shower him. The right space and design will allow him to use a shower chair, and safely care for his needs. Also major safety issues. His chair does not fit into bathroom so he has to transition out...often falls and requires police to help him up.

I'm sorry to hear about your husband's health. He most definitely needs a safe place to bathe. There are so many contractors and designers specifically working to create bathrooms that are handicap accessible.

Sorry to hear of your Husbands health. Do you have a floor plan or pics of your current set up?
