French Tudor windows
July 25, 2013 in Photo Questions
We have an adorable older tudor that will need some windows replaced but window companies are struggling with the fact that the grids are brown on the outside and we want white/cream on inside like we have now (current windows have removable grids) should we stick with the removable grids--which we hate, or can we somehow get embedded grids that are brown on the outside but lighter for the inside? What is the trend with the new Tudors being built? Please advise.

What window brands are you considering? Are you having a hard time because you are doing vinyl with grids between the glass? If so i'd strongly advise against that. The removable grids I agree aren't ideal. If you're using a wood/aluminum clad window with simulated or true divided lites you shouldn't have a problem.

We can provide a fully custom window with simulated divided lights in the colors you want. You can do wood-clad or solid wood. What area is the home?

We are in Charlotte NC--its a foyer window, we really just need the glass replaced-lost its seal, we aren't prepared to replace all the windows right now. Our current windows are wood/aluminum clad. We will replace them all at some point, just need this one for now.

Interesting, we have not worked in N.C. but we have in Atlanta and Charleston. You should contact the Manufacturer or Dealer who supplied the windows for a replacement.
